Kiri Mooncloud Maasen
Kiri (she/her) is a prolific creative and critical thinker forging a new home in Portland, OR. Kiri is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis where she earned a BA in English Lit with a focus in creative writing as well as minors in Fine Arts and Design.
Before moving to Portland, Kiri was an EMT in Boston, MA for 2 years and she taught an EMT training course at BU. She also worked with PIH as a case investigator addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. While in Boston, Kiri danced, performed, and toured with the semi-pro salsa team Volante, headed by Michelle Garcia. Kiri’s interests have taken her around the world; most recently to Iceland and Japan.
Since moving to Portland, Kiri has been teaching salsa dance at BodyVox in NW and at Lines Dance Academy in Hillsboro. When not in the studio or learning something new, Kiri can be found running, climbing, biking, reading, or hiking her way throughout the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
